I am thrilled to invite you to the launch of SonDeBaril with our new show, “Evolución”!

SonDeBaril arose out of the elements that drew me and Singer/Percussionist Yiyi Orozco together: the rhythms, sound, and movement of the age-old yet constantly evolving art form of flamenco. It is the space in which music and dance are merged, creating an opening where a multitude of raw emotions are invited and allowed. SonDeBaril is an expression of where we come from, the space we inhabit, and our unified path.

During this pivotal time, we found ourselves exploring new realities that inspired fresh ideas. We’re so excited to bring our vision to life and share it with you!

Yiyi and I created “Evolución” with support from the Maryland State Arts Council in collaboration with guitarist Ricardo Marlow, dancers Edwin Aparicio and Anna Menendez, who will also be performing with us.

“Evolución” will premier at Roda Studio in Takoma Park, Maryland on September 16 & 17, 2022. There will be an artist-audience reception after the performance.
